In December the Tulsa Community Foundation announced a matching challenge grant
for Tulsa area nonprofits to provide basic needs and health services to their communities.
These organizations committed an initial $450,000.
The public raised another $275,000, which was matched dollar-for-dollar by the George Kaiser Family Foundation,
for a total of $1 million. The money we receive will help us feed the growing number of people
seeking food assistance due to the economy.
