Food Donor: 
National Steak and Poultry

 

National Steak and Poultry, a food manufacturer in Owasso, donated 34,000 pounds of sirloin and chicken to the Food Bank on Dec. 30. Since partnering with the Food Bank in 1997, NSP has donated more than 200,000 pounds of food. Thank you so much!

 

In-Kind Donor: 
Party Pro Rents & Events

Party Pro Rents and Events of Tulsa has donated all table linens for the Food Bank’s Recipe to End Hunger events. Party Pro Rents is a full-service event rental and production company that helps make all events successful. They’ve made the Food Bank look great for many occasions. Thanks, Party Pro!

The Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Foundation granted the Food Bank $50,000 for the Food for Kids Backpack Program. They have been strong supporters of the program for several years.

Volunteer:  
Cici Hebert

 

Cici Hebert is a native of Sinajana, Guam. She has four children and 12 grandchildren. Cici moved to Tulsa last year and has been our Volunteer Department ‘champion’, entering all sorts of volunteer information since June 2010. We cannot imagine the Volunteer Department without Cici’s immeasurable contributions, two to three days (it not more!) every week. Thank you, Cici!

 

Food Drives:  
Channel 2 Works for You, Reasor's and the Jingle Bell Run, Food 2 Families Drive

Channel 2 Works for You’s annual Food 2 Families food drive brought in 26,982 pounds of food from Dec. 3-12. In the first day, at the Channel 2 studios, 4,782 pounds were collected. Aftereward, food was brought to area Reasor’s stores: 22,038 pounds of it! Another 162 pounds was collected at the annual Jingle Bell Run.
