A Message from Eileen Bradshaw, Executive Director of the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma
My name is Eileen Bradshaw, and I have recently joined the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma as executive director. We are all here because we want to alleviate hunger, but YOU are our hands and feet, delivering the food into the hands of the hungry. Thank you. I know how difficult your work can be.
I came to the Food Bank from another Partner Program, Emergency Infant Services. I know first-hand about the opportunities working with the Food Bank can bring you, and I also know that it sometimes has its challenges. As we move forward, I hope you feel free to let me know about both. You can call me anytime - my number is 918-585-2800, ext 152.
In late January I will be visiting some of our partners in the southern portion of the state to see what you are doing and what you might need. I will head north in the not too distant future to do the same thing

Once every quarter, you will be receiving a newsletter in the mail that is specifically designed to provide you information on issues affecting you and your agency. Inside, you will find features such as new products in the warehouse, best practices, grants and educational opportunities, recipes and much more all to help you and those in your community working to alleviate hunger. Upcoming Dates for AgencyExpress Training
We periodically hold 1-hour training classes to help you learn AgencyExpress Online Ordering. The sessions are held at the Food Bank on the second Tuesday and third Thursday of each month. Registration is required.
Food Bank 101 is scheduled for the third Thursday of each month from 10 a.m. to noon immediately following the AgencyExpress training. Food Bank 101 covers the basics of Food Bank participation including ordering, shopping and reporting; and will be your chance to ask questions about just how it all works. All program staff and volunteers are welcome. Classes for the first quarter of 2012 are scheduled for:
- Tuesday, January 10 at 1:30 p.m.
- Thursday, January 19 at 9 a.m. and at 10 a.m. for Food Bank 101
- Tuesday, February 14 at 1:30 p.m.
- Thursday, February 16 at 9 a.m. and at 10 a.m. for Food Bank 101
- Tuesday, March 13 at 1:30 p.m.
- Thursday, March 15 at 9 a.m. and at 10 a.m. for Food Bank 101
